The word of God say`s in Philippians 2:13 that it is God who works in us both to will and do of His good pleasure.
We need to realize that God does have a plan for each of us and he watches over us and desires to show us his will for our lives. In the kingdom of Heaven the Lord has set things in order the way he wants them and we need to find out where he has placed us, get into our God given place, and don`t let the devil or people cause us to leave.

In Acts 17:26 (AMP) it says that God has even fixed our place to live. God cares about you so much that if you will ask him he will even show you where he wants you to live. That, I believe is where the blessings of God, for your life, are waiting for you. Acts 17:28 says, in Him we live and move and have our being. Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior and made Him the Lord of your life then the Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit want to be involved in every area of your life.

As you build a relationship with the Holy Spirit, and hear his voice, he is pleased to guide you into the destiny God has for you. If it seems like your destiny is taking too long, or will never happen, don’t give up. The Holy Spirit is always helping you to grow up in Christ and moving you toward your destiny. A few years ago I started telling the Holy Spirit that my destiny is in His hands. It will come to pass in His timing and it will be perfect in every way. It hasn`t always been easy to wait but I remind myself of the scripture in Isaiah 40:31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit love you so much and want to help you become the person you are in Christ Jesus and fulfill your calling.

Father I pray, that all who read this blog might be filled with the knowledge of your will, for their life, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; that you which has begun a good work in them will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.  Father, work in them both to will and to do of your good pleasure. I pray that the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. We love you Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit and thank you that you always lead us into victory thru Jesus Christ our Lord and King!! In Jesus name, Amen.

The Holy Spirit is our Teacher

Today I want to share some more about the Holy Spirit.

Lets look at the scripture in 1 John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, you shall abide in him.

Here we see that the anointing we received is the one who will teach us of all things. He does not lie but teaches us the truth, which is God`s word. Whenever you read the word of God, hear a sermon, or anything for that matter, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what he wants you to learn from what you are hearing or reading. The more you practice talking and listening to the Holy Spirit the more he will lead, guide, talk to you, show you of things to come and so much more.

Let’s look at more of what Jesus said the Holy Spirit came to do for us and in us.

John 16:12-13 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Jesus said here that he wanted to show many more things to those he was talking to but they were not able to bear them. Then he told them that when the Holy Spirit had come he would show them the things he wanted them to see. They could not understand them yet but the Holy Spirit would be their teacher and show them. The Holy Spirit did show them through the rest of the New Testament. I believe the things that Jesus wanted to say to them are found in Acts to Revelation. Peter proved that what Jesus had said was true.

Peter says that the things that Paul spoke in his epistles, by the Holy Spirit, were hard to understand. This is after the Holy Spirit had come on the day of Pentecost.

2 peter 3:15-16  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth, the same thing 1 John 2:27 say`s. He will also show us of things to come. If we are listening to the Holy Spirit he will guide us into all truth and show us of things to come in our own lives and in other things. The Holy Spirit is the most important person in this world and he always points us to who we are in Christ Jesus. He adores Jesus and is constantly working with us, if we let him, to help us conform to the image of Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:29).

Father, I pray that all who read this will develop the kind of relationship with the Holy Spirit that Jesus is interceding for them to have.Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. I ask you for your wisdom and grace for them for each day of their lives. Protect them and help them to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Help us to fall so in love with the Holy Spirit that he becomes the most important person in our lives here on earth. I love and adore you Holy Spirit and worship you with all of my heart.  I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Growing in the Grace of God

I believe a good definition of Grace is:
God`s divine favor towards us, his delight and pleasure in us.

Pray for wisdom and grace every morning so you can experience them throughout your day wherever you go.

In 2 Peter 3:18 we are instructed to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:9 says:  be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; ….. Here in the scripture we see that establishing our heart with grace will help us to not fall into strange and different doctrines. In Ephesians 4:14 we are instructed to not be children in our walk with God any longer, we must grow up. We must not allow strange and different doctrine to take us this way then that way as if we are being tossed here and there. We need to be able to discern when men are being tricky and clever trying to deceive us into following their ungodly doctrines.

So, how do we grow up and become a mature man or woman of God to the place where we keep ourselves from being deceived? We establish our heart with grace! We do that by getting in the word of God and studying the scriptures on grace. John 1:17 says that …grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. As we do this we will grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Study the scriptures on grace, memorize them. As you study grace you should also study all of the scriptures. I learned a long time ago that as I studied the bible I was able to discern, if a doctrine was false when it came along, if it was a strange doctrine or a different one than the true gospel. Spend time in the word studying grace

1 John 2:27 says: but the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what the scripture is saying. He is the anointing and loves to reveal what the scriptures mean. You must do your part in studying what you are reading, but he is faithful if you take time to ask and listen for his answer. He may send someone with the answer; or you may read something that gives you the answer, etc. I believe the Holy Spirit wants us to come to the place where we hear his voice for ourselves. Just like anything it takes spending time with him. The more you talk to him and ask him about things the better you will hear. Talk to him all the day long, he is a genius in everything you do and can teach you all things! He loves teaching us about all the word as well as the grace of God.

Hebrews 12:28 says: …let us have Grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear.

Romans 5:17 says: much more they which receive the abundance of Grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in this life by one Jesus Christ!

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him and that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened; and that you may know what the hope of his calling is in your life. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. May you grow in Grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lord we come boldly to the throne of Grace to obtain mercy and find Grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) I thank you for mercy and Grace in the lives of all who study to grow in Grace. Thank you for helping them when they need it. In Jesus name, Amen.

All scripture is King James Version unless otherwise noted.

Romans 8:6 says …..to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Think about the Holy Spirit, find out what the bible teaches about the Holy Spirit and meditate on who he is! He is God, you can worship him, adore him, love him, talk to him, thank him, ask him anything, spend time with him in the word, prayer and fellowship. In John 16:7  Jesus said it was expedient or profitable that he went to the Father so He could send the Holy Spirit. Jesus was saying that we need the Holy Spirit here on earth more than he Himself, WOW!! So if Jesus said it then we need to believe it and get to know the Holy Spirit more than any other person here on earth.  In John Chapters 14,15 and 16 the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He is the Spirit of truth. Do you want to talk to someone who tells you the truth? Then talk the the Holy Spirit all the time about everything. He knows everything there is to know about everything you are going through now. He is a genius! Talk to him more than  you would your best friend and take time to be quiet and let him give you answers. Sometimes it will be that you just know what to do. We can talk to him on the inside no matter where we are at. The more you talk to him the more practice you will have in listening and hearing the answer . If you need comfort, he is our Comforter. If we would go to him for comfort we may not need as much comfort food.

I pray that as you spend more time with the Holy Spirit your life will become more peaceful. As you talk to Him you will gain His wisdom and answers for every area of your life. In Jesus name amen.

I thank you father that you totally love us, I pray that all of their days are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ will rest upon them and the eyes of their understanding be enlightened; and that they may know what is the hope of his calling and destiny in their lives. I pray that the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing through the power of the Holy Ghost! Help them to become a person in love with Holy Spirit and practice his presence in their life. Help them to walk in the Spirit and not the flesh. I put a flood of the blood of Jesus on them, their home, family, destiny in God and everything concerning them. I thank you for victory in their lives. In Jesus name, Amen.

I`m sorry it has been so long, since my last entry.  A lot has been going on here the past year and a half.I have decided to give some encouraging words from time to time and not just prayers.

My brothers and sisters, He that  spared not his own Son but delivered him up for us all, how shall He not with him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32 (KJV).  We are heirs of God and joint heirs  with Jesus Christ! Romans 8:16-17 (KJV). According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and Godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us unto glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. II Peter 1:3-4 (KJV). He has given us what we need to live, and move, and have our being in him… Acts 17:28 (KJV).  I put a flood of the Blood of Jesus over all of your destinies and all that is yours in Jesus name, Amen.  Put your destiny into the hands of the Holy Spirit, no person on earth or any demon from the realm of darkness can stop the Holy Spirit from helping you to fulfill your destiny!!!! God does have a plan for you life, Jeremiah 29:11. Talk to Holy Spirit about it, he knows everything  about it and will help you find and fulfill it. Romans 8:31 Says, …. If God is for us who can be against us! (KJV).  God bless you.

Have you ever seen the lava that comes out of a volcano and wondered if that is what the lake of fire, spoken of in Revelations 21:8, is? I have, even when I am around any kind of a fire I think about the lost going to hell and being tormented in the fire forever.

Revelation 21:8 says, “the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.” (NIV) In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  (NIV)

The word says that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. I believe that the gospel will destroy the works of the devil in the lives of those who choose to accept Jesus as their Savior, Lord and King.

The word says that the gospel is hidden from those who are lost. Satan, the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those that believe not, so the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ would not shine into their hearts.

The Father loved the world so much that he sent Jesus Christ, his only son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Jesus came to destroy the devil’s work. (I John 3:8)

Let’s pray together in agreement for the salvation of the lost, whoever they are. Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, “again I tell you that if any two of you shall agree on earth about anything you shall ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”  Let`s pray for the lost to escape hell and become children of God.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we set our hearts in agreement, for the lost. We ask that your will be done in their lives, here on earth as it is in heaven. We pray that the works of the devil will be destroyed in their lives as the gospel of Jesus Christ is shared with them. Help them to see their need for Jesus. In the name of Jesus we take authority over Satan, the god of this world, and every demonic spirit that would keep the unbeliever from seeing the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. We take authority in the name of Jesus over every hindering spirit that is hindering unbelievers from listening to and receiving the gospel. We command all of the enemy’s plans, plots and schemes to stop and have no effect on them. We command every root that the enemy has in them to die and be plucked up and cast into the sea. Holy Spirit fill any and all of them where these things are removed. We pull down the blindness that the god of this world has blinded their minds with so they will see the light of the glorious gospel. We pull down the strongholds in their minds, and we cast down every imagination, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and we command every thought to be brought into captivity and to the obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father we ask you to let the light of the glorious gospel shine into the hearts of those who believe not. Father, draw them to Jesus and give them the knowledge of your glory that shines in the face of Jesus Christ. Send laborers across their path, on a daily basis, with your word, the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Convict them of their sin, of righteousness, and judgment. Help them to see and experience your goodness and repent. Help them to receive Jesus as Savior and make him Lord of their lives. We pray that their whole household would be saved. Lord help them to live their lives producing fruit that will show that they have repented and no longer live in their old ways, but in newness of life. And now father, bring godly mentors into their lives who will disciple them and teach them the word of God correctly. Help them to find the church that is your will for them to attend, so they can grow up in Christ correctly. We put the blood of Jesus over our prayers and all those we are praying for. In Jesus name Amen.

A prayer for the people of Japan.

I can`t imagine losing absolutely everything, especially loved ones, all at the same time. Even worse, their family and friend`s that they would normally go to for help have the same needs and problems .  Please pray in unity with me for the people of Japan.

Father, in the name of Jesus I pray in agreement with all of those who are praying for Japan and the people. We pray for all of our brothers and sisters, who are in Christ, in Japan. Protect them from all harm, danger, and any of the effects of the earthquake, the tsunami and the nuclear reactor meltdowns. We pray that you would protect them from polluted water, air, or food sources. Father your word says that if they drink any deadly poison it will not harm them. We thank you that no weapon formed against them will prosper and every tongue that rises to accuse them, you will condemn for this is their heritage as the servants of the Lord and their vindication is from you. Father, you said in your word in Luke 10:19 that you’ve given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will be able to harm us. We take authority over every demonic spirit that would try to come against our brothers and sisters and harm them through this disaster. We pray for their protection from the enemy. Father, we put the blood of Jesus over the homes of our brothers and sisters, over their businesses and everything that they own. We pray for those whose homes and businesses have been destroyed. Father we ask you to bless them and restore what the enemy has stolen through this disaster. We pray that you would have the guardian angels camp around them and all that belongs to them. We thank you for the angels that will minister to them and for their guardian angels. We welcome the ministry of the angels. Help those who are working with the reactors to have wisdom on how to get them under control and prevent another disaster. We pray for the protection of the people of Japan. Bless them and have mercy upon them. We pray for the leaders of Japan to have wisdom with all, of the disasters, they have to deal with. Help the leaders to know how to take care of the people right now, even while they are dealing with several disasters at once. Heal the waters, the ground, the atmosphere, and restore their economy. We pray for those who have lost loved ones, their homes and businesses. Please provide comfort, shelter, food, water, and clothing. We pray that their financial needs be met abundantly. We pray that the body of Christ would be a witness to the nation of Japan and show the people of Japan your love. Allow them to see your mercy and that the God of the whole earth loves them. We take authority over every evil spirit that would try to bring harm to any of the people of Japan, in the name of Jesus. We bind every hindering spirit that would hinder the healing and restoration of the entire nation of Japan. Father, we pray that you would make all grace abound to our brothers and sisters so that in all things at all times, having all that they could possible need; they will be able to abound to every good work. May the God of all hope fill them with all joy and peace as they continue to trust in him, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  In the name of Jesus, amen.

Help Me to Forgive Others

All post content is copyrighted. (c) 2011

Help me to Forgive Others

This second prayer, on forgiveness, is a prayer asking the father to help us to forgive those who have hurt us in any way.

The Lord taught me to forgive people the way he forgave. He said to me one time to forgive people the way he forgave me. I asked him how he did it, and he said that he forgave me ahead of time. In other words, he forgave me before I sinned. I have learned that if I think about that enough and make the decision to forgive people, before they do something to me, or ahead of time, I was ahead of the game. This way the pathway, in my mind, to forgive is already established. That way when someone does anything to me I have a better chance to forgive him or her quickly. He also forgave me for all of my sins. Not just seven times or seven times seventy. So I forgive them for all of the things they may do to me.

I also study the scriptures that talk about forgiveness. Forgiveness needs to become a mindset, a way of thinking, who we are, a way of life.  We need to come to the place where we can just let things go and not allow strongholds to form in our mind, which lead to strongholds in our hearts.

I understand that it can be a struggle to forgive and some things are harder than others are. No one knows unless they have been there, however we need to continually work on forgiving.

Ask those in the body that are walking in this, to pray and help you in this area of your life. Stay in the word, memorize scriptures on forgiveness, and pray over them. Ask the Lord to help you to walk in the Spirit with each scripture by obeying the word. Psalm 119 talks about learning and obeying the word. Verse 11 tells us that when we hide God`s word in our hearts it helps us to not sin against the Lord. I believe that when you take any size step towards God, he will meet you where you are.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you that you love me. Help me to love myself the way you want me to. I forgive myself for the things I have done that have hurt you or anyone.  My desire is to forgive those who have hurt or offended me. Help me to forgive them. Help me to love them as you love them. I pull down all strongholds in my mind that are keeping me from forgiving. I cast down every imagination, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Jesus Christ. Now Lord Jesus, as the Captain of my salvation these thoughts are your prisoners, please take them away. I thank you that you are faithful to take them away and not let them return. Father, help me to forgive people the way Jesus forgave them. He forgave me before I even committed the sin. So, help me to be like Jesus, willing to forgive ahead of time. Help me to come to the place in my Christian walk where I let things go when people hurt me, offend me, or do anything against me. Help me not to allow unforgiveness to gain any kind of hold on my mind or heart. Help me to keep my thoughts on good things. I apply the blood of Jesus to my mind and to every thought. Help me to cleanse my mind, from the things that lead to death, so that I may serve you. I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Asking for Forgiveness

In the next two blogs, I want to give you Prayers on forgiveness. The first will be a prayer to the father for the forgiveness of our personal sins. The second will be a prayer asking the father to help us to forgive those who have hurt us in any way.

Here is one of the most important scriptures (for me) that the Holy Spirit taught me to use in spiritual warfare and my prayers. I use this scripture in most of my prayers. It is found in II Corinthians 10:4-5. Verse 4 says that this is a weapon of our warfare. We are to use it in our own battles, as well as when we battle for others, against strongholds. I believe the next verse tells us where the strongholds are, in our minds. Strongholds are built through our imaginations. These can be things we imagine can hurt us or things will not work for you.

Unforgiveness can be a stronghold and the longer it remains in our hearts the stronger it can become. It is as if the more we allow the thoughts and imaginations to stay in our minds they fortify the unforgiveness in our hearts. Sometimes we can have big imaginations, don`t let them run wild but do your best to submit them to the Holy Spirit. The following prayer is how the Holy Spirit taught me to use II Corinthians 10:4-5, as a weapon, against the thoughts and imaginations that sometimes seem to overwhelm us. Pray this way when thoughts and imaginations come against the what the truth in God`s word in any area of your life.

We must remember that God loves us and will take care of us as his children. Forgiveness is a big part of our heart being able to believe that whatsoever we ask of him, we will receive of him.

As you pray for forgiveness the Holy Spirit may bring to your remembrance a sin that has not been dealt with. When any sin comes up that is the time to deal with it. Talk to the Holy Spirit about it and include it in the prayer as you ask for forgiveness.

The best actions we can take when we sin is run to Jesus and ask for forgiveness and believe that he has already forgiven us of our sins and cleansed us from all unrighteousness. I believe that even though we are already forgiven of all our sins, we should ask him for forgiveness and let him know we are sorry for what we have done and thank him that he took care of our sins on the cross. HE also made us the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  Never allow anything to keep you from running to Jesus and getting sin out of your life.

Father thank you for forgiving me, of all my sins. Help me to hide your word in my heart so I won`t sin against you. Father your word says that whatever is not of faith is sin. So I ask you to please forgive me for any time that I have not used faith but I was in doubt and unbelief. I ask your forgiveness for every idle word, every negative word, and any unbelief that has come out of my mouth. I bind these words and command the roots of them to die and no longer exist in any realm, and I put the blood of Jesus over them in the name of Jesus. Father I pull down these strongholds and I cast down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and I command every thought to be brought into the captivity and obedience of The Lord Jesus Christ. Now Lord Jesus as the captain of my salvation these thoughts that tell me I am not forgiven are your prisoners. Please take them away. I thank you for cleansing my mind and the atmosphere around me with the blood of Jesus. I thank you that you are faithful and just to remember my sins no more and so I will do the same. I will forget the past and press forward for the high calling of God for me in Christ Jesus. Thank you for making me the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Father I come to the throne of grace through the blood of Jesus to obtain mercy and find grace to help in a time of need. I thank you for your love and acceptance and that I am now cleansed, redeemed and washed in the blood of Jesus. Through the blood of Jesus, I am justified before you now and I receive your mercy and grace, thank you in the name of Jesus. Amen      (KJV)
